Metallica

Metallica, some hate them. This is fine and I'm not going to get all bent out of shape over it. Simply put, you are missing out on four great fucking albums that have had a heavy impact on a lot of the music you enjoy today. It would be heinous to miss out due to a misconception.

(click images for download if you for some reason don't already have these.)

Metallica - Kill 'Em All (1983)

Metallica - Ride The Lightning (1984)

Metallica - Master of Puppets (1986)

Metallica - ...And Justice For All (1988)

Sorry Lars, this is a new age. People download, get over it.

  1. You only ever really need one Metallica album, and that is Ride the Lightning. Otherwise, listen to Megadeth. I hate to be hatin, but...overrated.

  2. Haters gonna hate. But let's just clear this all up now. "The big four" in thrash, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax have all been accused of being overrated and sellouts.

Despite the truth, it doesn't change the fact they have all contributed to metal in a big way.

I'm not going to let some dicksmith who thinks "St. Anger" is one of the best metal albums around taint my view on classic Metallica.

  4. You actually know someone who likes St. Anger? Lol. They have to be lamer than me, and that is pretty freaking sad. All told, those are pretty influential albums, but I've never liked Master of Puppets. At all. Lars is what ruins them for me, both for being a douche and a less than mediocre drummer. I wished they would have broken up before the black album, that way I wouldn't be so critical of them, lol.
